Eastern Washington Center of Occupational Health & Education (COHE) Hires Health Service Coordinators for New Kennewick Office

Eastern Washington Center of Occupational Health and Education (COHE) welcomes two health service coordinators to the new Kennewick office, located at 3311 W. Clearwater Ave., Suite C116, to provide coordination in getting injured employees back to work for Benton, Franklin, Columbia and Walla Walla counties.

Annie Bruce joins COHE-Kennewick to facilitate communication between medical providers, employers and injured workers and provide case management for workers on temporary disability. She previously owned a vocational rehabilitation firm, Columbia Counseling & Consulting, LLC.

Mariana Marquez-Sital assists injured workers with the state’s Early Return to Work program. She was previously a senior legal assistant for Smart, Connell, Childers & Verhulp, P.S. law firm and a case coordinator for Lourdes Occupational Health.

A 2011 study found that injured workers treated by COHE-affiliated health care providers are away from work for 20 percent fewer days than other injured workers. COHE care also reduces disability and medical costs by $510 per claim during the first year.
